The spine of a book depends on the number of pages and the paper used for the book. Machine Coated, for example, is thinner paper than HVO, but Thickening Roman is thicker than HVO. Additionally, the weight in grams has influence. Clearly, 115 gram paper will result in a bigger (wider) spine than 90 gram paper.
