To be able to print color photographs properly, the press uses four color inks, namely cyan, magenta, yellow and black (CMYK). The most common color system for color photographs is red, green and blue (RGB). Somewhere in the production color photos must therefore be converted from RGB to CMYK. An additional problem is that the CMYK color space is smaller than RGB. This means that the conversion from RGB to CMYK, no matter how well this conversion is carried out, a color shift may occur. A third consideration is that MSWord is an office application based on an RGB workflow, and not designed for making prints. However, you can supply color pages with MSWord, made in the following manner: ![]()
The files from your color photographs are used, if necessary, to replace the color photographs in the pdf. All the above is really only applicable if the colour has to be exact. For normal images, this is hardly ever neccecery.
